Kyle Williams has dedicated more than two decades of his life to combat sports, building an impressive career as a competitor, coach, and martial artist across kickboxing, boxing, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. His journey began at just six years old when he entered his first competitive kickboxing tournament as a white belt. Despite being the least experienced competitor in the division, Kyle defeated opponents who had already achieved black belt status, winning the competition and demonstrating the determination, courage, and natural ability that would define his career.
From that early success, Kyle immersed himself in martial arts, progressing through the ranks to Black Belt level while competing extensively throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. During his junior career, he won numerous regional, national, and international titles, establishing himself as one of the country's leading young kickboxers before progressing onto the world stage.
At the age of 18, Kyle entered the professional ranks and immediately made an impact by winning the British Kickboxing Title in his professional debut. He later challenged for European honours before capturing the ICO European Championship, earning a shot at the ICO World Championship. Standing opposite him was a highly experienced German National Champion with an extensive fight record and international boxing experience. Over twelve demanding rounds, Kyle delivered a career-defining performance to become ICO World Champion, securing his place among the elite competitors in the sport.
Having achieved success at the highest level of kickboxing, Kyle sought a new challenge and transitioned into professional boxing in 2016. Entering one of Britain's most competitive weight divisions, he quickly established himself as a skilled and fearless professional willing to test himself against the very best opposition available.
His rise through the professional boxing ranks saw him first capture the Midlands Area Bantamweight Championship before challenging Thomas Essomba for the English Bantamweight Title.
Essomba, a former African Olympian and highly respected international competitor, represented one of the toughest tests of Kyle's career. Rising to the occasion, Kyle produced a standout performance to defeat Essomba and become English Bantamweight Champion, adding one of British boxing's most respected domestic titles to his growing list of achievements.
Throughout his professional boxing career, Kyle competed on major televised events broadcast on BBC, Channel 5, and Sky Sports, performing in front of national audiences and sharing platforms with some of the sport's biggest names. His willingness to face elite-level opposition earned him opportunities to challenge for major domestic and international honours throughout his career.
Kyle's final professional contest took place at the iconic York Hall in London, widely regarded as the home of British boxing. His opponent was former Olympian and former WBC World Champion Charlie Edwards. Competing against a fighter of Edwards' calibre on one of British boxing's most historic stages represented a fitting conclusion to a professional career built on embracing challenges and competing at the highest level.
Away from competition, Kyle continued to expand his martial arts knowledge by studying Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, achieving Blue Belt level and developing practical experience in grappling and submission fighting. This accomplishment gives him a unique understanding of three distinct martial arts disciplines—kickboxing, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—allowing him to draw from a broad range of technical and tactical knowledge as both a coach and martial artist.
